From Lakin Rodeo Committee: 2/11/10 The Lakin Fair Board will have 70 stalls available which will be undercover at the Lakin Fairgrounds.
This is located just north of the arena. The cost is $30 for the weekend per horse/stall. Checks need to be made to:
"Jr. Leaders 4-H," this is a 1st come 1serve basis. Those that get their checks mailed to Margaret Jennings

The remainder of the stalls will be as they have been in the past. Outside
panels. Portable panels are encouraged, the committee
requests that electric portable fencing pens be held down to a minimum due to concern for enough room in order to accommodate
the Jr High and High school families. Please be considerate of your fellow rodeo families.
The
Saturday performance will begin at 10:00 am at Lakin. This is Co-sanctioned event with Wrangler Jr High.
Their will be a 4-D Barrel Race after the rodeo Sat evening.
There will
be a Team Roping Jackpot held immediately after the Barrel Race. The Team roping will be a #10 roping. In addition,
a 3 sec handicap up and a 2 sec handicap down will be implemented so that all those that wish to rope may do so.
Dear Friends,
I will be stepping down on June 30, 2010, and therefore turning the reins over
to a new KHSRA State Secretary for the 2010-2011 rodeo year. If you are interested in being the next State Secretary,
here are a few details about this rewarding job:
- must have great organizational and secretarial skills
- must have good people skills & love kids- work with contestants, committees and KHSRA

- willing to work
hard and long hours at times
- must
be willing to be in the rodeo office majority of the time and available for members/parents
- good knowledge of rodeo
- must own lap top
- treasurer responsibilities
The KHSRA Board of Directors will be conducting interviews at the
Kingman HS rodeo on March 13th.

Our "Good Will Project" for High School Rodeo is to support
the food bank at every host site. Each contestant is to bring 2 canned food items to donate to the food bank
each weekend. This is a very worthwhile project and it shows each community that High School Rodeo is a great organization
to support!
Our official newspaper is the "Rodeo News".
Everything will be posted in Rodeo News, so check your paper for updates. Membership input is always welcomed and appreciated
for news articles in the Rodeo News or the associateion newsletters
